It's been a busy month, but I'm finally done with the next material in the series, the typical Wrought Iron Balconies of Paris. It was quite a challenge to get them right, especially the more complex ones. After testing out a few workflows, I finally went with drawing the basic shapes in Illustrator, modeling the ornamental details in Maya and Zbrush and then putting it all together in Substance.
It's amazing how big of a help Substance Designer has been, since now I can just input a different heightmap of the balconies to get a completely new trim.
Threw together a small scene as well to see how these trims work in context. Hope you guys enjoy it!
